BOURBON expands its fleet with the delivery of new 34-meter Crewboats

Following successful sea trials, the first of the two new vessels were officially delivered by Grandweld Shipyards on November 3, 2026, in Dubai.

Designed to transport offshore personnel, these new Crewboats combine an increased passenger capacity of 60, business-class-style seats for optimized confort, enhanced technical reliability and improved fuel efficiency. They represent a new milestone in the renewal of BOURBON’s fleet in one of its core business area.

Compared to the previous generation of 32-meter vessels, these new units offer optimized performance with a cruising speed of up to 38 knots, reduced fuel consumption thanks to an Electronic Fuel monitoring system (EFMS) integrated during construction, while providing greater operational redundancy. The vessels also feature 18 m² of deck space equipped with compartments specifically designed to carry passenger luggage, a redesigned bridge with improved visibility and enhanced ergonomics, and satellite communication systems that connect the vessel and its equipment with BOURBON’s onshore teams.

A ceremony marking the official delivery of the first of the two vessels was held yesterday, November 3, 2026, at the Grandweld shipyard in Dubai, attended by the teams that contributed to the project.

« With these two new Crewboats, BOURBON is strengthening its ability to offer its customers reliable, high-performance crew transport solutions, tailored to the demands of offshore operations. This delivery is the result of the joint efforts by the teams at BOURBON & GRANDWELD to improve passenger comfort, operational efficiency and energy performance. I would like to thank them for their expertise and commitment at every stage, from design to sea trials » said Stephan Midenet, Chief Operating Officer of BOURBON.
