In order to improve the passenger journey, Bourbon Mobility has deployed, in April 2019, entertainment services on 14 Crew boats in West Africa. This project, part of Bourbon strategic plan #BOURBONINMOTION, is a step in the development of additional services on-board the Surfers. Details provided by François Leslé, CEO Bourbon Mobility.
If the client has always look for safety, high standard level and performance, the passenger has changed from an industrial personnel to a passenger with high expectation in terms of comfort, welcoming and services.

DEPLOYMENT OF THE SERVICE OFFER
The passengers now have a free access to more than 40 movies & documentaries and 10 games. Unlike planes where there is no personal screen, passengers can use their own devices (smartphones, tablets, laptop) to watch videos & play games. In April, 14 Surfers have been equipped in West Africa. 7 are operational in Angola on most of Crewliners 32 m. & 36 m., 4 in Nigeria and 3 in Congo. “Few weeks after the deployment, feedback from the passengers are positive. This encourages us to continue to develop this entertainment service on board our vessels.“ confirms Quentin Labbe, Project Manager for Bourbon Mobility.
The content has been specifically chosen for the countries of deployment. e.g. 15 Africans and Nollywood movies (Nigerian film industry) have been selected for Nigeria where the population like this content. To fit the multi-nationalities of our passengers, all movies are available in various languages and have numerous subtitles. The content is regularly updated with the modification of 15 videos every 3 months.
In the following months, Bourbon Mobility wants to deploy its new service offer on other surface vessels and also plans to develop new services for passengers.
