Jacques de Chateauvieux, Executive Chairman

A graduate of the Institut Supérieur de Gestion (ISG) of Paris in 1972, Jacques de Chateauvieux also holds an MBA from Columbia University, New York, 1974.

He began his career in 1975 as a financial controller for Union des Transports Aériens (U.T.A) in Paris. In 1976, he joined Boston Consulting Group in Paris as a consultant in business strategy and executive management.

In 1979, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of family-owned Reunion Island-based company BOURBON with the objective of restructuring the sugar industry of La Reunion.

During the years that followed, Jacques de Chateauvieux transformed BOURBON into a conglomerate listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, successfully positioning it as a major player in the retail and later on in marine services. Between 2001 and 2010, he led BOURBON’s gradual focus away from its historic business activities and towards offshore marine services dedicated to the oil and gas industry.

He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of BOURBON for 40 years and is once again appointed Executive Chairman on 28 June 2019 by the Board of Directors having decided to reunite the functions of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.

Jacques de Chateauvieux is also President of JACCAR Holdings SAS, the majority shareholder of BOURBON.

 


 

Gaël Bodénès, Chief Executive Officer

Gaël Bodénès graduated in 1991 from ENSIETA (French Navy High School of Naval Engineering) as a naval engineer. He also holds a MBA Degree of HEC Paris (Hautes Etudes Commerciales), 2007.

He began his career for the French Navy (DGA) as a naval engineer in the Newbuilding design department, then joined the sales department of the DCN in Brest (France).
In 1998, he joined International Shipbrokers Barry Rogliano Salles as senior offshore shipbroker.
 

In September 2002, Gaël Bodénès joined BOURBON as Marketing and Business Development Manager for the Offshore Division, supervising the business managment of the international fleet. In line with the growth of the business, he contributes to the shaping of the Offshore Division.

In September 2005, he was appointed Deputy CEO of Bourbon Offshore, before becoming Executive Vice President of the Offshore Division in 2010, in charge of Business Management.

Since January 2011, Gaël Bodénès was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of BOURBON. He became Chief Executive Officer in September 2017, with the responsibility of the company management under the executive Chairmanship of Jacques de Chateauvieux.

On June 28 2019, he is appointed as Chief Executive Officer by BOURBON Corporation’s Board which decide to reunite the functions of Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO. Gaël Bodénès is therefore able to focus on managing the company and pursuing the transformation initiated by the group to make the most out of the already perceptible recovery.

 


 

Thierry Hochoa, Chief Financial Officer

A graduate of IAE Paris, ESCP Business School and also CPA, Thierry Hochoa began his career in 1994 as an external auditor at Arthur Andersen, then Ernst & Young (EY). 

In 2004, he joined Technip, first as Director of Internal Audit, then held various finance positions at Group level before becoming, in 2011, Corporate Financial Control Director.

In 2013, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of operations in Southeast Asia on the key Yamal project in Shanghai. 

In February 2016, he became Vice-President Finance & Group Controller in Paris and actively worked on the merger and integration project of Technip with the American FMC Technologies.

In April 2018, Thierry Hochoa joined BOURBON Corporation as Director of the financial structuring project for the three Standalone Companies created in the context of the #BOURBONINMOTION strategic action plan.

In August 2018, he is appointed as Chief Financial Officer of BOURBON Corporation.
