Indigenous training and hiring in Australia

BOURBON ensures Indigenous training and hiring in Australia.

A unique French-Aboriginal alliance has been formed in Perth last week, as BOURBON has agreed Aboriginal Marine Services (AMS) and its Indigenous contracting subsidiary, iMarine, to provide a steady flow of workers. This agreement will lead to Indigenous workers being given more opportunities to benefit from servicing the Western Australian oil and gas boom.

BOURBON has an established presence in Western Australia with its affiliate Bourbon Offshore Pacific.

Aboriginal Marine Services (AMS) has established an innovative Indigenous training and labour hire business in Western Australia which recruits Aboriginal trainees and ensures they’re job ready for work on offshore supply vessels.

This non-binding Heads of Agreement is the first step in establishing the parameters for a joint venture which will see BOURBON provides modern, reliable and efficient vessels to be manned by high quality Aboriginal crews, to satisfy the Indigenous requirement of project tenders.
