Jacques de Chateauvieux, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Jacques de Chateauvieux graduated from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion (ISG) de Paris in 1972 and earned an MBA from Columbia University, New York in 1974.
He began his career as a financial controller for l’Union des Transports Aériens (U.T.A) in Paris. He then joined Boston Consulting Group in Paris where, for three years, he worked as a consultant in business strategy and executive management.
In 1979, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Reunion Island-based company BOURBON with the objective of restructuring the sugar industry of La Reunion.
During the years that followed, Jacques de Chateauvieux transformed the company into a conglomerate listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, successfully positioning it as an international player in the retail and marine services industries. As from 2001, he started to lead the group’s gradual concentration from its historic business activities to focus on offshore marine services to the oil and gas industry.
At the dawn of a new stage in the growth of BOURBON, Jacques de Chateauvieux, previously Chairman of the Board of Directors, was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Bourbon Corporation on May 26, 2016.
Jacques de Chateauvieux is also President and Managing Director of Jaccar Holdings, which is the majority shareholder of BOURBON, and has developed, since 2004, a diversified business portfolio targeting growth and value creation.
Christian Lefèvre, Deputy CEO
Christian Lefèvre graduated from the French Marine Merchant National School in 1984 and earned his Captain 1st class certification in Marine Navigation in 1988.
He began his career with BOURBON as an officer, then served as Chief engineer and Offshore Vessel Captain for Bourbon Offshore Surf, before becoming Shore Base Manager in Gabon and then in Cameroon. Subsequently, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer for Bourbon Offshore Surf from 1990 to 1995, then Managing Director of Bourbon Offshore Surf from 1996 to 2001.
In the context of BOURBON's strategy to focus on marine services in 2001, Christian Lefèvre became CEO of the Offshore Division of BOURBON and in December 2005, he became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Chief Executive Officer of BOURBON since January 1, 2011 Christian Lefèvre has been appointed Deputy CEO of Bourbon Corporation on May 26, 2016.
He is also Director since May 28, 2013.
Gaël Bodénès, COO
Gaël Bodénès graduated in 1991 from ENSIETA (French Navy High School of Naval Engineering) as a naval engineer. He also holds a MBA Degree awarded by HEC Paris (Hautes Etudes Commerciales) in 2007.
He began his career for the French Navy (DGA) as a naval engineer in the Newbuilding design department, then joined the sales department of the DCN in Brest (France). In 1998, he joined International Shipbrokers Barry Rogliano Salles as senior offshore shipbroker.
In September 2002, Gaël Bodénès joined BOURBON as Marketing and Business Development Manager for the Offshore Division. In this position, created in the context of the 2003-2007 strategic business plan involving an investment program of 1.08bn euros in the offshore business, he supervises the business management of the offshore oil services international fleet. In line with the growth of the business, he contributes to the structuring of the Offshore Division and to the development of the Marketing Department of Bourbon Offshore.
In September 2005, he was appointed Deputy CEO of Bourbon Offshore, before becoming Executive Vice President of the Offshore Division in 2010, in charge of Business Management.
Since January 2011, Gaël Bodénès was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of BOURBON.
