The BOURBON Corporation General Management is composed of:

Jacques de Chateauvieux, Chairman & Executive Chairman 

A graduate of the Institut Supérieur de Gestion (ISG) of Paris in 1972, Jacques de Chateauvieux also holds an MBA from Columbia University, New York, 1974.

He began his career in 1975 as a financial controller for l’Union des Transports Aériens (U.T.A) in Paris. In 1976, he joined Boston Consulting Group in Paris as a consultant in business strategy and executive management.

In 1979, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of family-owned Reunion Island-based company BOURBON with the objective of restructuring the sugar industry of La Reunion.

During the years that followed, Jacques de Chateauvieux transformed BOURBON into a conglomerate listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, successfully positioning it as a major player in the retail and later on in marine services. Between 2001 and 2010, he led BOURBON’s gradual focus away from its historic business activities and towards offshore marine services dedicated to the oil and gas industry.

He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of BOURBON Corporation and Executive Chairman since May 2016.

Jacques de Chateauvieux is also President of JACCAR Holdings SAS, majority shareholder of BOURBON.


 

Gaël Bodénès, Chief Executive Officer

Gaël Bodénès graduated in 1991 from ENSIETA (French Navy High School of Naval Engineering) as a naval engineer. He also holds a MBA Degree of HEC Paris (Hautes Etudes Commerciales), 2007.

He began his career for the French Navy (DGA) as a naval engineer in the Newbuilding design department, then joined the sales department of the DCN in Brest (France). In 1998, he joined International Shipbrokers Barry Rogliano Salles as senior offshore shipbroker.

In September 2002, Gaël Bodénès joined BOURBON as Marketing and Business Development Manager for the Offshore Division, supervising the business managment of the international fleet. In line with the growth of the business, he contributes to the shaping of the Offshore Division.

In September 2005, he was appointed Deputy CEO of Bourbon Offshore, before becoming Executive Vice President of the Offshore Division in 2010, in charge of Business Management.

Since January 2011, Gaël Bodénès was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of BOURBON and joined BOURBON's Executive Committee.

In May 2016, Gaël Bodénès, became Executive Vice President of BOURBON Corporation. In September 2017, he was entrusted, as Chief Executive Officer, with the responsability of the company management under the executive Chairmaship of Jacques de Chateauvieux.

 


 

Astrid de Bréon, Chief Financial Officer

A graduate of the ESSEC Business School (2004), specialized in Finance, Mrs Astrid de Bréon has worked at BNP Paribas, first as a project manager Finance Management at the group’s Finance department where she later coordinated the “Emerging Markets” zone. In 2010, she became in charge of Corporate Strategy working with the General Management of BNP Paribas and coordinated, in 2013, the launch of Hellobank for the French network of BNP Paribas. In 2014, she became in charge of Institutional and Corporate Clients at the Business Center Paris Etoile Entreprises.

In February 2017, Astrid joins BOURBON Corporation as Chief Financial Officer. She has been nominated as an integral part of the executive team in September 2017.
